Amanda Santimaw, MS, CCRC

Director of Clinical Research

Amanda is the Director of Clinical Research for the 5 locations, and oversees the conduct of research for 12 Principal Investigators, 12 research coordinators, and over 120 current clinical trials. Amanda graduated from Arizona State University’s College of Nursing and Innovation in 2013 with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Research Management. She has 9 years of experience working in Phase II-IV and observational clinical trials. This includes direct experience coordinating over 100 studies is multiple indications, including neurology, rheumatology, surgery, and internal medicine.  Amanda has experience in designing and implementing Investigator Initiated Trials with pharmaceutical sponsored grants and academic retrospective studies. Amanda also remains current on all new trends and policies in clinical research as a current certified member of Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and attends the annual conferences and training programs.

Cindy Corgan

Clinical Trial Administrator

Cindy has 11 years experience in the Clinical Trials Industry administering, maintaining and coordinating the logistical aspects of clinical trials in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  She manages the clinical trial financial database and the electronic regulatory management system. She also acts as a pivotal point of contact for the clinical trials team in the areas of Regulatory and Finance.  Cindy is a graduate of Hamilton Business College in Ames, Iowa. She also attended Phoenix and Gateway Community Colleges.


Ruth White, CMA

Regulatory Affairs Manager

Ruth provides 24 years of medical field experience and has been with AARR for 3 years. She provides regulatory to all 5 of our sites. She enjoys sports and spending time with her family.

Brenda Sei

Clinical Research Operations Assistant

Brenda was born and raised in Northern California and recently moved to Arizona where she joined AARR in the Finance and Administration department August 2016.

Previously, she worked in the healthcare industry for 13 yrs. While working as a Program Counselor for a world renowned health Institute in Florida called Hippocrates Health Institute, a passion for health was further ignited. She then attended American River College in CA with a focus on science and nutrition. Brenda then became Board Certified and earned a Health Coach certification in 2013 having studied nutritional theories and holistic wellness practices from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

She has a background in Office Management in physician offices and Executive Assisting. Brenda also has a strong interest in research and recent experience working with patients and physicians to obtain oncology medication in Phase 4 clinical trials.

Rebecca Martinez, BA, CCRC

Quality Assurance Associate

Rebecca has a BA in Biochemistry and has been involved in research for 5 years beginning with preclinical toxicology studies and currently conducting clinical studies.  She has worked on over 50 studies in RA, PsA, Gout, Asthma, Lupus, and AS. Rebecca is also a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC).

Yelena Misaljevic, MD, CCRC

Clinical Study Manager

Yelena was born in Belgrade, Serbia where she finished Medical School and Microbiology at the University of Belgrade. She came to USA in 1994, where she immediately started her career in clinical research. She has been in the field for 21 years and been with AARR for 3 years. She has worked on 100+ clinical research studies in areas of HTN, Ulcers , OA, RA, Fibromyalgia, Pyelonephritis, Depression, ANCA Vasculitis, Behcet’s, AFIB, and back pain. Yelena is also a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC).


Kinal Bhatt, MD, MPH

Clinical Research Coordinator

Kinal Bhatt, MD, MPH is a graduate of Arizona State University with Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. She is a recent graduate of medical school, earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2014. She also has  a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from an accredited program with certifications in Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management and Health Education and Promotion. Her passion for medical science and preventive medicine sent her on a quest since her teen age years. She has been working in healthcare field all across the globe in different capacities since young age. She aspires to become a medical physician and serve underserved communities, while continue her involvement in research and education to be able to contribute to the future of medical science and public health.

Jennifer Pruitt, MS

Clinical Research Assistant

Jennifer was born in Oregon and received her BS in Biology from The Master’s College in Santa Clara, CA. She worked in research for 3 years at The John Hopkins University at their neurogenetics laboratory on the mechanism of Huntington’s Disease and Huntington’s Disease-like 2. She also received her MS in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

She conducted health fair clinics in Dominica and did research on neurofibromatosis before joining AARR in June 2016 to work on lupus and RA studies.

She is excited to gain more experience in research as a clinical research coordinator.

Rachel Havermale, BS

Clinical Research Assistant

Rachel is a BS graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Biological Science. She also earned two associates degrees (General & Art) and two certificates (EMT & Phlebotomy) from Phoenix College.

Her healthcare experiences began in 2008 with the completion of Phlebotomy school. Afterwards, she started working as a Trauma Phlebotomist, in a large hospital, while congruently volunteering with Phoenix Fire and Air Evac as a National Certified EMT.

While completing her core curriculum at ASU, she took upper division labs doing research with humans, rats, fish, mice, and toads. While participating in service volunteering programs that allowed her to work with students and children on HIV education and awareness campaigns. Her goal is to be the change in medicine that so many wish to see. Rachel currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.

Mishan Samaraweera, MD

Clinical Research Coordinator

Mishan was born and raised in the Suburbs of Chicago. He received his BS in Chemistry at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and went to Medical School at Ross University in Dominica. Before joining AARR he was involved in Bench Research for Open Angle Glaucoma at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is now looking forward to getting established in clinical research.

Rajinder Kaur, MD, MPH

Clinical Research Coordinator

Rajinder completed her Bachelors and Masters in Public Health in Arizona and went abroad for her medical studies. She joined AARR in 2016 as a Clinical Research Coordinator. She enjoys interacting with the patients and is very passionate about her work here. Besides working with her colleagues at AARR, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has been working in the medical field since high school, and is an aspiring physician.

Nidhi Samaraweera, MBA, MD, CCRC

Clinical Study Manager

Nidhi has graduated from ASU with BS degrees in Political Science and in Psychology. She has also achieved her MD from St. Matthews and a Health Care Management MBA degree from Davenport University. She has been working in research for more than 4 years and has been a part of the health care field for over 5 years.  She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC). She has worked on 20+ clinical trials in areas such as Rheumatology, Cardiology, Endocrine and Hormonal Response studies.

Catherine Richard, MeD

Clinical Research Coordinator

Catherine was born and raised in California. She joined Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Research in 2015 as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Catherine has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Master Degree in Human Performance and Sport Sciences. Catherine has worked in the medical field for 16 years and her passion for research was fuelled by her coursework and internship while in her Master’s program. After completion of her master’s degree, Catherine began working in clinical research. Catherine aspires to continue her education in the field of research and plans to take her Clinical Research Coordinator Certification exam in 2016.

Victoria Cornes, BS

Clinical Research Assistant

Victoria completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Genomics concentration with Barrett Honors at Arizona State University. She joined AARR in 2016 as a Clinical Research Assistant.

Before joining AARR, she was a Research Assistant at the Translational Genomic Institute of Research working in their Lung Carcinoma Unit. She is excited to have the opportunity to assist patients in clinical trial participation.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and playing with her dogs. Victoria is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Clinical Research Administration. She looks forward to her training towards becoming a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator.

Sandra Baysinger, CMA

Clinical Research Coordinator

Sandra has been with the company for 9 years. She started out on our Associates division handling medical records, front & back office, phlebotomy to site management. She just joined our research team in September 2014 and has worked on 10+ clinical trials in areas such as Lupus, Asthma, RA, Gout and AS. Sandra is CMA certified and continues to pursue her Credited Medical Education (CME).

Jenell Halvorson

Clinical Research Coordinator

Jenell was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI.  She worked there for 12 years as a Clinical Research Coordinator working on 75+ clinical trials in the areas of Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Asthma, Seasonal Allergies, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Cognitive Function, Irritable Bowel, Erosive Esophagitis, Crohn’s Disease, Peptic Ulcer Disease, Gastro-Esopagitis Reflux Disease, Ulcerative Colitis & Helicobacter Pylori Infection.

She then moved to Northern California where she worked for the last 12 years in Clinical Operations with several Pharmaceutical Companies before relocating to Arizona. Jenell joined AARR in April 2016.

In her spare time, she enjoys CrossFit, and the pursuit of other creative outlets such as crafting and interior design.
